Mussel larvae are collected from estuary areas and transported in collectors to grow-out sites. Under proper substrate and density conditions and in a nutrient-rich marine environment, this stage lasts between 3 and 6 months.

The mussel seed reaches optimum harvest weight and size in a period of 12 to 20 months. Grow out takes place at company-owned aquaculture concessions and under strict environmental standards.

Adult mussels are harvested from the ocean. They are mechanically separated from the substrate and transported to the processing plant while maintaining freshness.

Under a strict quality program (HACCP – BRC) and high food safety standards, the mussels are processed, cooked and packaged as frozen mussel meat; whole frozen; and vacuum packed options available either plain or in sauces, depending on customer preference.
