COVID-19 Memorandum

Out of concern for its employees, Camanchaca has taken measures to address the global health crisis that is affecting Chile.

Camanchaca’s management has taken a series of measures to address the global health crisis that is affecting Chile and reduce the risk of contagion in order to mitigate potential human, operational and financial impacts. These measures aim to:

Protect the health of our employees, their families and all those who work with Camanchaca, in general.

Protect the operational continuity of the company, which is essential to protecting jobs at Camanchaca.

The specific actions are:

Mandatory hygiene measures and protocols for everyone who works at our facilities or our subsidiaries’ facilities in order to reduce the risk of contagion and protect people’s health. These include: (i) symptom and temperature checks for people at all access points for facilities and company-provided employee transportation. (ii) additional hygiene and cleaning measures for individuals and facilities. (iii) additional disinfection of work spaces. In the event that anomalies are detected, individuals will be sent to a health center.

Camanchaca and its subsidiaries postponed and/or canceled all employee travel, abroad or to other regions of Chile, that is not essential to operational continuity. It has also canceled or postponed all visits to our workplaces by external parties. Those who have traveled to high-risk countries must complete the respective quarantine.

Personnel whose age and/or medical condition places them at higher risk have been identified and allowed, even when they do not have symptoms, to not work and/or work remotely.

To reduce the risk of contagion in production areas, all personnel that is not essential to operating the production lines is working from home or from a facility without production operations.

Camanchaca is evaluating the option of creating additional shifts that are epidemiologically isolated from one another.

Extraordinary contingency plans have been implemented to reduce the risk of stock interruption for key supplies, like oil, liquid oxygen, salmon feed, fish transport, etc.

Production plans for operating units have been modified to mitigate the impact of a possible interruption in the coming weeks. This planning includes analyzing the option of subcontracting third-party processing plants as a backup for company-owned plants. The Company has identified and strengthened its critical processes.

Extraordinary measures have been taken to accelerate and/or facilitate foreign trade processes, expanding options and destination markets. The company has also decided that finished products must be as close as possible to the location of final consumption. In air transport, extraordinary cargo options are being expanded to mitigate reduction of passenger flights.

We have requested that contractors and those that operate with personnel inside our facilities and/or subsidiaries implement protocols that are as rigorous as those we have applied for our own employees.

Finally, to date, neither Camanchaca nor its subsidiaries have experienced interruptions in the supply chain, primary logistics, exporting or billing for sales. Thus, it has not experienced material events that impact its operational or financial position. Regardless, and to the extent that there is a pronounced and prolonged reduction in demand in destination markets, the company will adopt those mitigation measures that it considers necessary to neutralize the possible impacts of this public health crisis in a timely manner.
