Production Process

01-materia_prima

Receipt of Raw Materials

1

The raw material caught in deep waters is transported directly to the processing plant to begin the reduction process.

Close
02-coccion

Cooking

2

The raw material undergoes an indirect steam thermal process at a pressure and temperature set based on the raw material to be processed.

Close
03-prensado

Pressing

3

This stage is the process of squeezing or mechanically pressing the fish from the cooker, which gives press liquor as the liquid phase and press cake as the solid phase.

Close
04-decantado

Decanting

4

A percentage of solids and fats are recovered from the press liquor.

Close
05-centrifugado

Centrifuging

5

The liquid from decanting is preheated to 95°C to then be centrifuged in order to separate the liquid phase (stickwater) from the oil.

06-almacenamiento-aceite

Fish Oil Storage

6

The oil is stored in two tanks.

Close
07-evaporacion

Evaporation

7

Stickwater is sent to evaporators where the soluble solids contained in the liquid are concentrated through evaporation. This is then mixed with the press cake.

Close
08-homegenizado

Homogenization

8

Homogenization and mixing of press cake with stickwater concentrate and solids from decanters.

Close
09-secado-vapor

Direct Steam Drying

9

The homogenized mass is simultaneously distributed in rotary tube dryers.

10-secado-caliente

Hot Air Drying

10

The final drying stage uses hot air with indirect steam.

11-enfriamiento

Cooling

11

The fishmeal is cooled using a cooler (with air flow), which is a cylinder containing a rotating axis with radial paddles that shake and push the fishmeal forward.

Close
12-molienda

Grinding

12

The coarse product from the cooling process is finally ground to a commercially acceptable granulometry, between 95% and 98% under scattered light 2 mm app.

Close
13-Adicion-antioxidantes

Antioxidant Addition

13

The ground product is immediately stabilized by adding an antioxidant (liquid ethoxyquin).

Close
14-envasado

Fishmeal Packaging and Labeling

14

Fishmeal is packaged in laminated polypropylene sacks or maxisacks weighing 50, 1000 or 1500 kilos, depending on the customer.
